Automagical Car Disabler.

i've heard this suggested before... or similar technology... way long time ago on VWVortex. so it's probably the same thing. and thus old news. but it was mentioned today on (*ahem*) Paul Harvey... and when you want bleeding edge technology news... you listen to Paul Harvey. so it could be like 19 years old.

but if not... basically it uses focused microwave energy to disable fleeing cars preventing high speed chases.

sounds well and good.... except it isn't going to work on cars from basically the early-'80s and prior. since they don't actually have microprocessors to disrupt and cause them to slow down. on those cars you'll just make the FM radio crap out. PISSING THEM OFF EVEN MORE!

so they say it'll cut down on high speed car chases. how very incorrect. it will simply *increase* the amount of car chases involving awesome Mad Max styled '70s muscle cars. to which i say 'yes. yes. i hope so.' ... as if the prices for '60s/'70s iron wasn't getting ridiculous enough already.

good thing i already have one. time to prep it for a high speed chase and sell it for big $$$. yay!
