Mini LED Video Projector.

i think i saw this one at CES... at least i saw something similar.

basically a 14oz. 800x600 video projector...

has VGA inputs / video inputs and uses super super long-lasting (20,000 hours!) LEDs for bulbs. now i highly doubt that LED bulbs are bright enough to project a visible images in a lit room... it still sounds like awesome technology that will only get better with time.

right now the biggest issue with me for getting a normal projector is the cost of bulbs (around $300) and longetivity of said bulbs (3,000 hours or so). this one presumably fixes both those problems as LEDs are dirt cheap in addition to lasting 6-7x as long.

this thing is pretty awesome though. $699 is a great price. though the 800x600 resolution puts me off... and the likelihood that it won't be able to project in a lit room... and the fact that i heard a rumor from CES that they will only project around a 27" max screen.

more info here. and Engadgets blurb as well.
